The Pretty Pintastic Party #88

15.1.16 By Annie N

GOOD MORNING!

Happy Friday and welcome to The Pretty Pintastic Party!

This week has been my first full week back at work after Christmas and it’s been super productive! It’s also flown by… I hope this is not a sign of the year to come. That it will just pass me by and I’ll be sitting here a year from today thinking “Wow, where did that year go?” I have so many plans for this year, but I also want to work on my work/life balance and have some more time to actually enjoy myself and do things outside of work.

I’m definitely someone who has a tendency to be a complete workaholic and just work and work and work and not put myself first. I get that from my Dad. I’m only 24, but I’ve already been working for 11 years of my life. My dad started young and has worked his butt off for well over 20 years. I saw first hand how hard he works when I worked with him for 5 years. Long days, early mornings and very hard, manual work.

But then… I wouldn’t want to be someone who is just given everything on a plate and doesn’t have to work for it. Don’t you think it feels so much better when you buy something and you know you worked hard and paid for it? For me, that is just the best. I worked hard, I treated myself to a car and it felt amazing knowing I worked to earn it!

Anyway, I really hope you’ve had a fabulous week and have a great weekend! Have fun linking up at this week’s party!
