June Beauty Favourites

9.7.19 By Annie N

Today I’m sharing my June beauty favourites. There’s quite a mix, but I definitely sense from my picks that Summer is here as they’re lighter and more glowy!

June Beauty Favourites | Annie's Noms

Hi guys, June beauty favourites time! This month Summer really hit in the UK and I found myself wanting to wear lighter makeup.

I didn’t really wear any eyeshadow, kept my base lighter and more luminous and vetoed highlight in lieu of glowy blushes. I also found a new brand that I’m loving and excited to try new things from!

So, let’s get into it!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY HOT LIPS 2 LIPSTICKS – £28 from Space NK

Oh my gosh, I can’t tell you how in love with these lipsticks I am! As soon as I saw that a new Hot Lips collection was coming out, I new I was buying some!! I got the shades Dancefloor Princess and In Love with Olivia.

As soon as I put Dancefloor Princess on, it went straight into my top 5 nude lip colours ever. It is stunning and my perfect pinky nude.

In Love with Olivia is very similar when on the lips. It’s a bit more brown, slightly darker and the formula is more glossy. They’re both stunning and I don’t think you can go wrong with any Charlotte Tilbury lipstick as they’re great.

BURBERRY CAT LASHES MASCARA – £24 from LookFantastic

Mascara is something I really struggle with as it seems like 95% of formulas smudge on me. I’ve been so excited to try mascaras before as everyone raves about how budge/smudge proof they are… I get them and they smudge within an hour.

I’ve tried waterproof, tubing mascaras, adding my own waterproof topcoat. Nothing works. I found this Burberry one for £9.99 in TK Maxx and thought why not, it’s only £10.

Well my friends, this mascara is fantastic! It’s super thickening, volumising and it doesn’t budge on me at all! It isn’t clumpy and it’s very black. I am totally in love!

NEW CID COSMETICS I-GLOW POWDER BLUSHES – £27.50 from New Cid Cosmetics

I was at an event a few weeks back and there were some boutique stalls at the event. Me being me, I went straight for the makeup and ignored the clothes!

I had never heard of New Cid Cosmetics, but I saw the most stunning pinky peach glowy blush and bought it on the spot. I’m usually a matte blush girl and then I add a little highlight, but this blush was so gorgeous I couldn’t not buy it.

I wore it the next day and fell head over heels in love. It is Summer in one blush. You don’t need to add highlighter as it has this beautiful gold shift. It’s not over the top though, it just makes you look healthy. The colour is beautiful for Summer too; the perfect mix of pink and peach.

A few days after I wore Coral Crush for the first time I bought Ice Pop (the pink version) and I love that one too. I so hope they come out with more colours as these blushes are stunning.

CIATE LONDON WATERMELON BURST HYDRATING LIP OIL – £14 from Ciate London

I got this lip oil as part of a kit as I was testing their Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer and it’s amazing! It feels like it should be sticky when you first squeeze it out, but it’s not. I have to admit, I thought I wouldn’t like it as I don’t like sticky lip products, but am happy to report it’s not sticky at all and it feels lovely on the lips.

I’m definitely buying the full size when this one runs out. I feel like it will actually last quite a while though as you really don’t need to use much.

LACURA MAKEUP SPONGES – £1.49 from ALDI

What a find these sponges are! They are less porous than Beauty Blender’s and feel more latex-y (is that a word?! You know what I mean though!).

However, these are really soft and bouncy when wet and make blending your foundation a cinch. For £1.49, I’m stocking up because these are fantastic and SO much cheaper than Beauty Blenders!

That’s it for my June Beauty Favourites, what makeup have you been loving this month?
