Five things worth ticking off on the bucket list of life

As far as we’re aware, you only get one shot at life. That’s why it’s important to make it count. Having a bucket list is one way of doing this. There are plenty of things that you could get up to throughout life to ensure that you’ve done everything possible to live your life to the fullest.

Get a tattoo or piercings

While a tattoo or piercing can seem a little extreme for some, it might have been something that you’ve always wanted to try, but avoided prior. Whether that’s due to work restrictions or simply not finding the right moment to do it, getting it ticked off your bucket list at some point is worthwhile.

A tattoo or piercing is a great way to express yourself, who you are and the personality you have. With tattoos, in particular, they can tell a story. Or, they can be a collection of memories, passions and emotions. Whatever piercings or tattoos you do get, make sure to get them with a reputable piercing specialist or tattoo artist.

Book a spontaneous trip anywhere in the world

When was the last time that you were spontaneous in life? Chances are it’s been a long time since you did it. Maybe you’ve never been spontaneous in life up to this point? Now is the time to change that and tick it off your bucket list.

For spontaneity at its finest, why not take yourself to the airport and book a trip anywhere in the world? Either that or blindly point to a spot on the world map and wherever it is, you visit that year!

Go skydiving

Ready to do something truly heart-stopping? Jump out of a plane! Some do it to satisfy their adrenaline craving while others may do it for charity or to celebrate a big occasion or birthday.

Whatever the reason, skydiving can be both a terrifying and exhilarating experience. It can really help put life into perspective when you’re free-falling through the air.

Try a new cuisine

Looking to give your tastebuds something new to try? While it might not seem like a bucket list item for some, there are those that have gone their whole life eating one type of cuisine and not bothering to explore any others.

Food is often the way to anyone’s heart and it can be a great way to learn more about other people’s cultures bar your own. It’s also one of the best ways to do it!

Run a marathon

Running a marathon can be an exhausting toll on the body. However, it can really open your eyes as to what the human body is capable of. Think about running a marathon, either to show the lengths the body can go to or in honour of someone close to you. Alternatively, running for a charity is also worthwhile.

Life is fleeting, so it’s always a good idea to maximize your potential and do everything you’ve ever wanted to do. The last thing anyone wants is to live with regret, especially as they get older and become less mobile.
